1992 Maxima - Discharged Battery

 

1992 Nissan Maximas (Boxch p/n AL2356X) are also subject to cases of discharged batteries and low alternator output. Further inspection of the electrical system on these cars may reveal a loose connector at the "W" battery voltage connection on the alternator. It seems that repeated vibration and pounding causes the connector to loosen and results in arcing and burning of the wiring connector eyelet. Replacing the eyelet connector and re-attaching it securely to the B+ of the alternator is all it takes to get the most out of a Maxima!
