'94-95 Discovery or Range Rover - Intermittent Electrical Problems
Car won't start? Wax it! That's what Land Rover suggests you do to the ground connections on your 1994-95 Discovery or Range Rover if you experience intermittent electrical problems which result in Premature Dead Batteries, No Start and No Charge conditions. Before installing a Bosch premium remanufactured AL9347X or SR0800X in one of these vehicles, Land Rover suggests that you inspect the following list of connections for corrosion.
Table of Land Rover Ground Connections to Inspect |

If any are corroded the following steps should be taken to correct the problem:
- Any corroded connections should be disconnected and tightened to 6 to 7 Nm. (50-60 lb.In.) (If the surface where the eyelet contacts the vehicle is painted, place a star washer between the painted surface and the eyelet.)
- After tightening the connectors they should be waxed with Land Rover #RTC7769 Anti-Corrosion Wax.
