SYMPTOMS: The battery is continually discharged, which leads to a "No Start" condition.

PROBABLE CAUSE: This condition may occur due to broken fingers on the alternator regulator connector. When these fingers are broken they allow the regulator plug to vibrate loose, which in turn creates a break in the charging circuit.

CORRECTIVE ACTION: Ford has released an improved design connector (E7DZ-14489-B) which should be spliced into the wiring harness to alleviate this problem.
