Drivers

Our drivers make local deliveries of auto parts to wholesale customers, typically to automotive repair shops. A typical delivery run may include 3 or 4 stops and can take anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the number of stops and delivery locations. When you return to the store, another run is assigned to you. You can expect to take many runs every day.

We are known for keeping our vehicles in great condition and replacing vehicles before they become too old. You don’t need to worry about having to drive an old, worn old vehicle when you drive for Olympus.

To be eligible to apply for a driving position with Olympus, you must:

• Have a clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Have had your driver’s license for at least one year.
• Be able to lift 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
• It is very helpful if you have extensive experience driving in your store’s market area. However, this is not a job requirement.

Pay:

• $9.00 per hour to start.
• $13.50 per hour overtime rate for hours worked over 40.
• Your pay rate is reviewed each year on your hire date anniversary. At that time, you may receive a pay raise and/or performance bonus.
• Opportunity for additional pay increases by obtaining proficiency in additional job responsibilities such as driver trainer, dispatching, interstore driver, warehousing and accounting backup.

Hours:

• We are open for business Monday-Friday 8-6 and on Saturdays 8-3. Saturday is a normal work day for us. We are not open on Sundays.
• You are assigned a start time each day and you can expect to be scheduled for at least 8 hours on weekdays and 7 hours on Saturdays.
• While a 47 hour week is typical, additional overtime hours may be required to meet our customers’ needs.
